Straw man scenarios of 5-year plan to consider:

DAC:
a)Laser heating in conjunction with x-rays
b)Brillouin scattering/GHz ultrasonic in conjunction with Laser heating and x-rays
c)Rheology stress and strain measurements
d)High resolution crystallography (powder/Laue), melts (Pair Distribution Function)

MAP:
a)High resolution rheology (D-DIA, D-Tcup) with white/mono beam
b)Ultrasonic in conjunction with D-DIA and x-rays
c)High resolution crystallography (powder), melts, Radial slit
d)Higher pressure/larger volume (2000ton press)
e)High pressure faulting (acoustic emission, x-ray imaging) in D-DIA/D-Tcup

PLUS YOUR IDEAS – WHAT SHOULD NSLS X-RAY HIGH PRESSURE BE?

Instead of a long list of talks, the tentative agenda has allocated large fraction of the schedule for breakout sessions to ensure each of everyone gets opportunities to offer their opinions. Please bring your comments and suggestions for the science and technique challenges or even concerns and complaints for the beam line service/operations.
